I admit, I started off hating computers.
I didn't want anything to do with the "blasted devices." However, my first teaching gig required that I offer my students a technology lesson each week and that I turn in my lesson plans via email. I had no idea what to do with that computer sitting on my desk. Heck! I was a math and science teacher - not a "computer dude!"
Quite frankly, that first year, I was trying very hard to stay one-step ahead of my students.
So...I went back to college and earned a M.S. in Instructional Technology - and that launched my love affair with computers and design.
After teaching middle school and junior high students for six years I decided to seek a job as a Technology Consultant at the Education Service Center.
I have been with ESC for close to seven years and have loved every minute of it. My current position has provided me with the perfect blend of computers, creativity, and teaching. It has also opened up other doors of opprotunity.
One of those "open doors" includes working with Adobe Inc. I frequently get to travel the country and provide Adobe related training to all kinds of people. Be it in Harrisburg, PA or Annahuac, Texas, I always find great people that are excited to learn cool applications. Talk about fun!
